A Little about the Artist

Amber Dow is a University of  West Georgia graduate. She also attended LaGrange College in LaGrange Georgia in 2005. She graduated with a bachelors degree in art under the study of Graphic Design.

Amber sums up her work in the following artist statement:
“When creating a work of art portraying an emotion is essential in getting
across the true meaning of a piece. If the audience can get a sense of how
the artist felt or feels about an event or events he or she truly achieves his
or her purpose. Sometimes it is necessary to break through everyday routines
to really explore life and the many different feelings and experiences of
others. In doing this, the audience may feel sad, happy, frustrated, mad,
confused and maybe even uncomfortable. Forcing emotions that may have
not otherwise have been felt opens up ones life to changes and growth.”
