A Little about the Artist
Amber Dow is a University of West Georgia graduate. She also attended LaGrange College in LaGrange Georgia in 2005. She graduated with a bachelors in art under the study of Graphic Design. Amber and Her mother-in-law Beth Dow own their own business Home Helpers of Georgia and Alabama. Home Helpers is a non-medical personal care company. Having her own business makes it hard for her to focus mainly on her art. She plans to get her business to a point were she can work more on her true love studio art.
Amber's art has been in many juried exhibitions in Atlanta. Her must popular piece Trying to fit the pattern (mixed media) was shown at the Annual Atlanta Gallery Project, Perimeter, Atlanta in 2006. The University of West Georgia purchased one of her lithographs for display in their private collection. Amber also won an award for Trying to fit the pattern (mixed media) that was published in the Eclectic Literary and Art Publication, University of West Georgia, Carrollton Georgia 2007.
Amber's work is on display at Flint Gallery of Panoply in Downtown Historic Newnan. The City of Newnan's group Main Street puts on an art walk twice a year in the spring and in the fall. This group is a wonderful way to network and get your name out.
